Youth Democracy Project is sub action 1.3 of the European Youth in Action programme (2007-2013). It gives young people the opportunity to be directly involved in society by planning and carrying out a project, which is an important non formal learning experience. It encourages young people to consider their contribution and involvement in a local, national and European context.
Participation is open to young people aged between 13 and 30 and legally resident in a programme country. A project should involve at least 2 countries with 2 local partners per country. The group should consist of a minimum of 16 young people. The activity must take place in the country of at least one promoter. The project can last between 6 and 18 month including preparation, main action and analysis.
